another creature: Dobbit
Just made these sketches, not sure when I'll get to spriting them though. Hopefully soon ^_^
Left is male, right is female Haven't made any hatchling sketches or anything yet, just these adults.
(by the way, it's kindof annyoing that the title for a topic has to be 10 characters or more...)
Argh, the forum cut the picture off -_- Click on it to see the full image, including the female's bottom half xD

Re: another creature: Dobbit
This is what I have on the male so far:
It's small on purpose, the creature itself is small so I wanted to reflect that in the sprite itself.
But, I think I need a bit of help on the lines. Redlines, critique. I'm not entirely happy with it yet... so any help is appreciated

Re: another creature: Dobbit
I'm trying to shade them, but I keep failing at the fur. So I brought them back to flats (except the white parts on the female, which I am kinda happy with). Anyone is free to play around with them, I don't think I'll be doing much on them anymore...
Male:
Female:
It seems sort of strange to have these hatch from eggs... but I guess we could have mammals hatching from eggs here xD Still strange though.
Egg description: This egg it brown and slightly fluffy.
Hatchling description: This hatchling looks like two ears with a small of body attached to it.
Gendered Hatchling description: This hatchling looks like two ears with a small body attached to it. The body has grown larger and the cute little creature is now hopping all around your menagerie, occasionally tripping over its own ears.
Adult description: Dobbits are cute creatures the size of a cat that are distantly related to rabbits. They originally lived only on P1, but GenCorp brought them to Zeima as pets. Wild Dobbits live in holes in the ground; they can have extensive networks of tunnels. However, they never go deeper than about three feet underground. Dobbits eat insects and fruits. They can hear the insects from far away, thanks to their overly large ears.
Extra info: They live on Zeima and P1, common on both. They don't live in extremely hot or extremely cold places, so you won't find them in the desert or on the north/south pole. They're slightly larger than a housecat. They come in all sorts of colours.

Re: another creature: Dobbit
Rhynn, look at the sprite guidelines again. I added something about the Egg/Mammal problem.
Re: another creature: Dobbit
I can try.

Got the first one done:
I will work on the other one when this one has been deemed sufficient.

Re: another creature: Dobbit
I'm not entirely happy with the coloring of this one, dark colors are hard to work with.

Re: another creature: Dobbit
It looks good ^_^ Maybe you can lighten the outline a little bit, it seems very dark. But I'd say you can get started on the female as well

Ah, I didn't see that one yet, I think I should've refreshed before answering xD
Maybe lighten up the female a little? I think the base colour was maybe a bit too dark to begin with. Also, at the tale there seems to be a bit of colour outside of the tail... I don't mind it if it's a small correction of the lines, but change the actual lines as well then
But yeah, my previous post was about the male, lighten the outlines on that one a little but otherwise it looks good, I think
Re: another creature: Dobbit
There is no color outside the tail on the female, lol. But thanks, I will lighten the colors on the female. I wanted to even before I volunteered to shade it.

Re: another creature: Dobbit
Ignite, have you lightened the female yet? I can do it myself as well, but since you were working on the colouring...
Re: another creature: Dobbit
Uh, sorry. I've been taking a break from sprites, so no, I haven't. You can lighten it if you wish. That way you can choose the color.

Okay Here it is slightly lighter:
Not sure if I'm happy with it, yet. Anyone have any crits?

I totally can't bring myself to work on these anymore. If anyone wants to adopt these to make them suitable for Nyoka, go ahead, they're all yours. If no one wants to work on them, I'm dropping them.
