Total newbish question

I see different colors of Ainekus, and even a kind of shadowy Icewolf. My question is... How does one go about getting these variations? All of the ones I've found have been the same color.

The drak woves are a spriter's alt, they're breedable, but extremely rare.
The aineku colours depend on luck, since the egg descriptions are all the same. The 4 darker colours live in the forest, the brighter ones in the grassland. SOme colours are rarer than others though.

Newbish questions are fine, as long as you aren't being deliberately ignorant.

The shadowy ice wolves originate from a spriter's alt owned by Rhynn. She occasionally breeds and/or drops them in the pound.
The different colors of ainekus are alts, with some more rarer than others.
As narli mentioned, they're to be found in the forest and grassland.
