On-site Moderator Applications

Since we are nearing the beginning of our website, we'll need a few moderators on-site that will:
1.) Keep a check on Avatar requests. This means Approving them or reporting them to me.
2.) Keep a check on messages that have been reported.
3.) Be honest.
4.) Not abuse their powers.
5.) Be online OFTEN. (like 'erryday)

That's pretty much all there is to being a mod at this point. More controls will happen later on XD Probably even some perks like a speshul mod badge on your userpage or something. Sprite artists will also get special badges lol but this is about mods.

So, applications are to be submitted on-site by messaging me... ON SITE. Applications in response to this post will be ignored.

In the app, tell this:
1. Why you want to be a mod
2. Will you seriously do the 5 things above?
3. Do you have the time?

That's pretty much it.

The applications were carefully looked over and I also took into account the behavior on the forums and in other places.

CONGRATULATIONS TO THE FOLLOWING:

ignite444, Rhynn, and SilentSkieBlue have been chosen as our first three on-site moderators. Your Stats cards will be decorated with a badge soon. Congrats and good luck! Once the Mod Panel is coded and functions are coded, you will get the special link and passwords in a message from the mail system on-site.

Dang, I would be upset about not becoming a mod but it's not a big deal really and I trust all the people who became a mod.

Edit: How many people applied for the job? I'm assuming it was only 4-5 people.

I was going to apply yesterday, but I couldn't figure out how to send the app to Rebs ingame....I was going to ask today but I didn't think the mods would be chosen in such little time o.O

Gratz to the new mods though.

He wanted you to send them via the website messaging system. I guess he should have stated that instead of "onsite". XD

28 hours notice is not a lot of time.

Sorry about the short time, but those apps stood out the most and appealed to me. Plus I really like the personalities of those 3 people. Very professional and independent, but also very loyal. And they will always throw in their 2 cents about decisions and they always suggest really good things, so yeh. XD

Rebs in the next moderator application can you put as some of the things to put in your pm: "Why do you qualify to be a mod" and "What experience as a moderator do you have?" (Although the second thing doesn't really matter as much, the first thing is what's the most important)

Also make sure the "special link" for the moderators isn't available to normal members. Like if a normal member somehow found out the link to there it'd just show an error message or something.

Sure I'll do that. And with the link, I already have security checks all over the site on differences between normal and higher rank users.
