That's some pretty sweet stuff. I wanna make a game to go with that music, but I only know absolute basic flash...
Also if you'd like I can try to vectorize your logo there. Granted, Inkscape is a little awful ateverything this sort of stuff, but I could try.

Kk, I'll get right on that.
My favorite of your music so far is Warp'd, by the way.

I didn't want it on the site, just a theme song or something, but not on the actual site XDignite444 wrote:I remember you wanting some of your music on the site, are you still gonna add it?

Like this?
Figured Inkscape out a bit. I don't hate it quite as much now.
OH and that's not the vector file, it's an exported one. I'd have to email or attach the vector file, and it's probably huge. My comp was having issues with it, and he's hardly a month old.

It means that the image information is stored as mathematical formulas instead of pixels. Like if you had a line, instead of saying that it's pixels x through z that are colored, it basically says y=x or bleargh I'm not explaining it very well.
It's a little bit difficult to really explain, but functionally it means you can make it any size without it getting fuzzy. Like I could make it 100px across and it'd still be clear as day.
Ah, wikipedia to the rescue.
-----
Vector graphics is the use of geometrical primitives such as points, lines, curves, and shapes or polygon(s), which are all based on mathematical equations, to represent images in computer graphics.
Vector graphics formats are complementary to raster graphics, which is the representation of images as an array of pixels, as is typically used for the representation of photographic images.[1] Vector graphics are stored as mathematical expressions as opposed to bit mapped graphics which are stored as a series of mapped 'dots', also known as pixels (Picture cells).

Most company logos and stuff are vectors, because they can be as big or small as needed--like on a coffee cup or billboard.

Skie, I like it but can you make the beaker thinger in the middle look kinda realistic with a nice not cartoony looking biohazard sign? And maybe instead of it being all bubbly and cute, maybe it could be sleek and glossy like:SilentSkieBlue wrote:Like this?

Any of these strike your fancy?
(If you like one logo but not the name I can switch it around. Pretty easy to do, since these are mostly just concept twirls)

I like the style of the third noctonix one.
Looks like claws tearing through fabric.
Also Solo Archipelago is such a nice name.
3rd Noctonix and Solo Archipelago ftw!

Re: My music: NocToriX
Hey yo dawg you need to update this topic, seeing as how you changed the name and all.
Anyway, here is logo. It's not quite like I wanted to make it, but I'm gonna mess with it in CS5 when I'm in my college's computer lab on Tuesday and Thursday, unless you tell me not to. It's the base so far and I guess I'd like some feedback before I go messing with more stuff.
And I had fun with backdrop thingies. Just cuz.
None of this is necessarily final. Mostly just experimenting.
Anyway I'm gonna go to sleep now. Most sane people on my respective hemisphere are at this moment.

Re: My music: NocToriX
I really like them! I can't wait to see what more you can get done Will the big thick black lines be around the letters when it's finished?
Re: My music: NocToriX
More 'sperimenting. Still haven't gotten to mess with it in CS5 yet, but I may just still do that, considering how I'm limited on Elements. Changes and add-ons based on the feedback you gave in the irc--all the brushes used on the minis came from the same or similar sets as the ones on the display:
Again, remember that if you like one of the shapes and not the style or color it's pretty easy to change.
Aaaaand more of the mini stuff. I'm having fun with it. Abbbbstraaact~
- Smaller Weight Stroke:
- With Background Slash:
- The Claw:
- Noctus:

Re: My music: NocToriX
Cool! I like the one with shattered grey shards (On the small version) but the old version of the grey shards have an outline around the shards which looks better...
And you see how the NTX thing is going down on the big logo and the small logos? Can you make it so that the N is lowest, T the same, and X is the highest? My mom wants it like that for some reason, but can you? D:

Re: My music: NocToriX
Guhurhur I made a stupid. I just realized that I hadn't checked the licence on the brushes I used on some of these, and went to check and found out that the one you liked requires permissions for commercial uses. I'm looking for a way to contact the creator, but none of the sources have links to an email or anything, so I might have to take a couple of those out, meaning the Background-Slash, the Shards, and the one directly to the left of the shards. We aren't in any trouble, but either of us could be if that becomes your logo and the dude decides he doesn't like what I did.
*headdesks* I'm really sorry, I'm gonna upload some new and similar ones that have completely free licencing on any brushes I used. You have no idea how stupid I feel right now.
I'll either post again or edit this post with the new ones.
God I'm an idiot sometimes.
EDIT Yes I can make them move up across to the right. It's pretty typical to have things descend when moving to the right, but it might look good that way, so I can give it a shot.

Re: My music: NocToriX
Not-minis, intended for colortesting:
I used Noctus cuz that one is my favorite out of the free liscence ones and has an overall good way to go about testing these things. Green turned out better than I'd hoped.
Mini-lineuptest:
While the different lineup is interesting, the flow of the preliminary set is better, I think. I didn't test other colors because it should be more important how they flow with the whole thing, as opposed to the mini.
Annnnd woops there's a messup. But I have to work in the morning so I'm gonna call it quits before I hurt my future self.
Oh and I know you hate the dot, but it's so painfully easy to fix I'm not going to stress over it right now. SLEEP.

Re: My music: NocToriX
I kinda like the original better XD
And on the main logo and the mini, the X is supposed to be the highest as in higher than the T also. My mom doesn't really like the downwards logo thinger so yeah...

Re: My music: NocToriX
So because of the issues I've been having with liscencing on the brushes I've been using--and because my class had a "make a logo" assignment" I've made a completely custom logo, which means no legality issues whatsoever.
Anyway, to compare, I've got it and all the alterations I've liked so far here, along with your original logo and Noctus, because that brush set was completely and utterly free---and if I somehow happen to be wrong on that the brushes I used are so easy to create manually I wouldn't need to trace them.
And as always colors can be changed easily enough, and styles aren't hard to mix.
...Aaaand just realized they'd probably look so much better with a transparent backgroud. Poops. Ah, well. You get the idea.
