Re: DIGITAL ARTISTS NEEDED
I already have it covered.DragonTamerChris wrote:Rather then url, maybe in the settings for moderators there would be a special link to it so the mods don't have to look back in the pm to find it and if they don't have to worry about losing the link and needing to pm you to get the link again. (Basically kind of like a moderator control panel on forums, it could also be a special option on the toolbar if it's possible to make it where normal members don't see it.)

Make the landmass in a layer above the one you use for the 'base' of the planet (not sure how you work, just make it above the current surface). Spherize it, and then make it slightly bigger. If it's near the edge of the planet this will cause it to be hovering slightly above the surface.
The other thing you could try, is making a slight drop shadow. The easy way to do this is to double click on your layer to open the blending options and then choose "drop shadow" and play around with the settings a bit. Or you could just paint it by hand, which might look better.
Those are the things I would try. Maybe combine the two. You could also try to have some clouds go around the landmass, as if the landmass is in the way of the clouds.
Attempt 2. A bevel had a really neat effect, and a more drastically moved drop shadow helped. Tried some different stuff with the clouds.

I am going to sleep now before I break my backspace key straight off from all these typos I'm fixing.

Ooh, I think you just gave me the perfect way to make the mountains I still need to add. Although I will edit the bevel a bit, since this looks slightly too shiny xD
Re: DIGITAL ARTISTS NEEDED
Okay, er, I think I got Dante rotatable? Six different viewpoints, with the land mass being on the frontmost view. (Also we can say they float via some crazy magnetism as well as some floating plants that decided to put their root there)
If you rotated right, you'd see something like this
Front
Right Step 1
Right Step 2
Step 3--Back--Fixed Now
Step 4 (Left Step 2)
Step 5 (Left Step 1
Though it looks like the backmost view is bigger than the others. Lemme fix that...
Also it should be noted Step 5 has a tiny little dot down by the pole. That is the largest giant mushroom on the planet, and is visible from space. It is where you go for the Iaelo quest, and is only visible from this view.
OH AND ALSO DANTE IS A BIG BALL OF GAS WHICH IS WHY THE SIDES DON'T MATCH UP AS YOU ROTATE YES.

Re: DIGITAL ARTISTS NEEDED
I'd like to give this a try, have all the planets been taken? I'd hate to start something if its all set and no longer needed.
