I'm new, and how do you delete the creatures that you buy and rename them?

You can't buy creatures yet. To abandoned them (not delete), you have to go to their creature page. Hover over a creature's badge image, then click on their normal sprite up in the view area. There, under "Actions," you can abandon them (all but adults) and rename them and a few other things as well.
