Pigdodo... uh... Pig Bird. Thing.
I almost want to call it a dragon, but I don't think it quite counts. Lol.
Erhm. The Pigdodo lives on... either Zeima or P1. One of those. They are social creatures, with the males taking the leadership role. When in danger or searching for a mate, the Pigdodo will raise up on it's hind legs and flap it's arms in what I'm sure is an awkward way to try and scare off predators, resorting to goring the enemy with their tusks only as a desperate measure. The female do not have a feather hawk, and their tusks are a bit larger in size. They lay eggs, and when the hatchlings emerge, they are coated in fluffy feather which the loose as they age, leaving them bald, except for their wings.
They'll be a combination of pink and blue/blush green. They're about four to five feet at the shoulder, and unlike real pigs, actually have sweat glands so they don't have to roll around in the mud. They do like dust baths, though, to keep clean, and to keep the bugs away. They have a different under color for their wings depending on the gender, with the females getting the more flashy one to better scare the predators away.
The primary sketch. Will make a new one for the female. I'll sprite this tonight.

I like this concept! And glad to see that you're going to contribute a creature ^^ Can't wait to see this
Re: Pigdodo... uh... Pig Bird. Thing.
I'm excited about it because it's my first one, and I'm actually contributing to the site. Lol. Finally.
Colors and really patchy shading. The hawk is going to be one of the feather colors. I forgot to color them in. Lol.

I love the concept but the color scheme doesn't make any sense to me.

I've always imagined Dodos as a bird with pretty blue-green feathers.

I'm really enjoying the concept. I love the colors, they are very unique. go well with the unique creature. ^^

How big is it supposed to be? It seems just a tad small for an adult.

I think it's fine. It's not a dragon.ignite444 wrote:How big is it supposed to be? It seems just a tad small for an adult.

No, the pig-color-scheme and the dodo-color scheme are both fine, but together they don't make sense.
Perhaps it pretends it's a pig so as to ambush larger predators?

Maybe the body color should be dark-pig-color instead of light-pig-color. It's kind of cute, but the color schemes do clash a tiny bit.

Perhaps a brown?

Maybe desaturate the brown a bit. Looks nicer though :3

looks better but the brown seems a bit too dark... or something. Will it be tropical? If it is, it should live on P1 and rarely on Zeima.
Re: Pigdodo... uh... Pig Bird. Thing.
It's too dark. Try a tan color and see if that work. It's hard to make out the features.

I think the brown looks great, personally- though maybe a bit more contrast (ranging to lighter colors) and darker outlines.

Actually, all the colors get a little dark for me. I might try lightening them all up a shade or two.
